William Arthur Lancey, 71, of Winsted formerly of Danbury.
Funeral Services will take place in The Baptist Church of Danbury, Brookfield, CT on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 1 PM.
There will be no callling hours.
Contributions in his memory may be made to a local foodbank in your community.
Burial will take place in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury at the direction of the family.
Mr. Lancey was born in Anchorage, Alaska on May 8, 1954 to the late William Arthur Lancey Sr. and Mary (Schrimer) Lancey of Danbury.
He lived in various parts of the country due to the enlistment of his father in the U.S. Army eventually settling in Danbury.
A twenty three veteran of U.S. Army National Guard, he was a member of the Baptist Church of Danbury now located in Brookfield.
A resident of Winsted for the past three and one half years to make his home with his daughter, Crystal Angle, her husband Scott and their children Destiny, Harmony, Jade and Faith, Mr. Lancey was a cashier at the Stop & Shop Store of Winsted.
In addition to his mother Mary, daughter Crystal and her family, he is survived by a son William A. Lancey III, a daughter Heather Porto and her son A.J, two sisters Sharon Houghtling and Chrissy Strand and a brother David Lancey.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother Wayne Lancey.
