William David Boehm, 89, of Danbury, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 8, 2024.
Bill was born on September 23, 1935, in Manchester, CT; a son of the late William and Wanda (Sendrowski) Boehm.
A long-time resident of Danbury, Bill was a retired Corrections Officer for the State of Connecticut Department of Justice. He was a member of the Danbury Kiwanis Club, served on the advisory board at the Danbury Salvation Army and attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brookfield, CT. Bill was an avid history buff and loved to read. Bill also served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Bill is survived by his wife, Joan, as well as his children, Michele Kol and Michael Boehm and his step- children, Judy Keenan, Tony Bellagamba and Andy Bellagamba. In addition, Bill is survived by his sister, Valerie Almquist, his niece Cyritha Reed, his great-nephew Patrick Reed and 7 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother, Peter Boehm, his sister, Diane Riley and son-in-law Bill Kol.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM in Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church; 174 Whisconier Road, Brookfield. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. Family and friends will be received at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church on Wednesday afternoon from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral service.
