Vivian Piraneo, 99, of New Fairfield, CT died peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025. She was the loving wife of the late Sebastian Piraneo. Vivian was born in the Bronx on November 30, 1925; a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Vincenza Vinci.
A resident of New Fairfield since 1984, Vivian was a member of Saint Edward the Confessor Church. She was known for her delicious Italian meals, her warm hospitality, and her love for her family.
In addition to her parents, and her beloved husband of seventy years, Sebby, Vivian was predeceased by her brothers Angelo and Vito and her sister Lucy. Vivian is survived by her daughters Rosemarie (Peter)and Vivian (Frank); four grandchildren, Andrew, (Kimberly), Katie (Mike), Andrea (Phil), Annemarie (Sean); six great grandchildren, Nolan, Winnie, Sloan, Brianna, Ethan and Felicity. She is also survived by her sister, Connie, sister-in-law Margie, nieces Kathy and Jo-Ann and other dear relatives and friends
Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home; 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 10:30 AM in Saint Edward the Confessor Church; 21 Brush Hill Road, New Fairfield. Entombment will follow in Saint Peter Cemetery; 71 Lake Avenue Extension, Danbury.
