Ginny was born in Linden, New Jersey in 1927. She graduated from the Vail Dean School and attended Wells College where she met her former husband, the late Kenneth L. Estabrook. They resided in various towns in Northern New Jersey (Cranford, Annandale and Far Hills) while raising their five sons: David, Gary, James, Jeffrey and Scott. From 1998 until her passing, she maintained a home in Redding, Connecticut next to her youngest son, Dr. Scott Estabrook.
She was always a gracious entertainer and warm friend to many, happiest on Long Beach Island (Brant Beach, New Jersey), where she spent 48 summers. She was also a life-long community volunteer, serving as the President of the Junior League of Cranford and Elizabeth, New Jersey, singing in the choir at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford and a tireless volunteer for the Friends of Matheny, supporting the Matheny School in Peapack, New Jersey.
She is survived by four of her five sons and will be laid to rest beside her beloved son, Gary. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They will forever cherish summers on Long Beach Island with their “Grandma Muffy” as well as the endless memories and the love experienced by those fortunate enough to be part of the extended Estabrook family.
