Dr. Victor Joseph Mimeault, 84, of Ridgefield, died on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his home. He was born in Kenogami, PQ, Canada on July 18, 1937, a son of the late Philippe and Lottie (Jewell) Mimeault.
Vic received his bachelor's degree from Loyola University in Montreal and earned his doctorate in chemistry from Iowa State. Dr. Mimeault was the Senior Vice President of Technical and Strategic Procurement at Ampacet Corporation in White Plains, where he worked for 25 years.
A long-time resident of Ridgefield, Vic attended St. Elizabeth Seton Church of Ridgefield. After retiring from Ampacet, he volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Rides for Ridgefield, and FISH (Friends in Service Helping). He is survived by two daughters, Tracy Caprio of Vienna, Virginia, and Diane Sass of Chapin, South Carolina; a sister, Jeanette Dillihunt and her husband Richard of Portland, Maine, five grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dr. Mimeault was predeceased by his four brothers, Rene, Albert, Leo, and Arthur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 520 Ridgebury Rd., Ridgefield. Private interment will follow in Ridgebury Cemetery, Ridgefield. There will be no calling hours.
