Veronica "Vicki" (Vangreen) Stevens

Veronica "Vicki" Vangreen Stevens, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister/friend and a longtime resident of Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at the age of 80, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 23, 1945, in Queens, NY, Vicki was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Vangreen and one of seven children. 

Vicki had a lifelong passion for creating art and playing tennis and was known by all who knew her for her creativity, friendliness, abundance of energy, and her generosity.

Vicki graduated from York Art Academy and went on to become a watercolor artist, art teacher and children’s book illustrator. 

Vicki is survived by her three children, Joseph, Mary and Daniel McCluskey, as well as their spouses and her six grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home; 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 10:30 AM in Saint Edward the Confessor Church; 21 Brush Hill Road, New Fairfield. Interment will take place privately.
