Timothy Lee Pennell

Timothy Lee Pennell, 68, formerly of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Tim was born in Danbury on October 13, 1957; first son and second born of the late Ernest and Eleanor (Wilson) Pennell. He was pre-deceased by his parents and step-brother Frank Spaziani. 

Tim graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1975 and served in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was honorably discharged in 1979. 

Following his military service, he worked as a landscaper in the Danbury/Ridgefield area before moving his business to Naugatuck. Tim was an avid collector of comic books and related memorabilia. His hobbies also included golf and bowling. 

Tim is survived by his two sons, Morgan and Travis Pennell as well as his brother Jeffrey (Sandra) Pennell, sister Deborah (David) Toscano, and step-brother Fred (Christine) Spaziani. Tim is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A prayer service will offered at 7:30 PM.

Interment with US Air Force funeral honors will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 1:00 PM in Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tim’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
