In Loving Memory
Theodore P. McInerney
February 14, 1969 – June 22, 2025
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Ted McInerney, who left this world too early following complications related to glioblastoma. Those who truly knew him will remember a man of immense heart and generous spirit.
Ted carried a kindness that touched both family and friends. As a father, he beamed with pride, and he was devoted to making his children feel special and loved. To his kids, he was a great and silly dad who gave them fun childhood memories and passed on his goofy sense of humor to them.
To his nieces and nephews when they were young, Uncle Ted was pure magic. Whether dressed up for imaginative play or spending time with the kids, he brought laughter, playfulness, and wonder to their lives. The memories of his spirited “uncle-ing” will remain a treasure for all who witnessed them.
At work, Ted was revered by colleagues as a standout professional; a brilliant coder whose meticulous documentation made life easier for everyone around him. He consistently put others first, earning the reputation of a model employee and a generous teammate.
Ted was born in Brooklyn, NY to Mary (Schlagel) and Thomas McInerney. He is survived by his children Mars and Mason, and stepson Spencer. He is also survived by his father Thomas, his siblings Monica (David), Tom Jr., Todd (Tammy), and Tim, his nieces and nephews, Madeline, Delia, Malcolm, Grace, Liam, Erin, Aine, Chase, Alexis, and Dylan, and his girlfriend Cynthia. Ted was predeceased by his mother and one of his best friends, Mary McInerney.
