Tessie Koutsikas, 89, of Danbury, formerly of the Bronx, died peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late James X. Koutsikas, who predeceased her in 2011. She spent 15 years missing him.
Mrs. Koutsikas was born on May 17, 1937 in the Bronx, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Chrissy (Leontis) Jimroglou.
A recent resident of Danbury, Mrs. Koutsikas previously resided in the Bronx, and then migrated north to Brewster, NY to be closer to her family. Before retiring, Mrs. Koutsikas was a real estate office manager. She loved the hustle and bustle of New York City life and work. Her most recent job was with Max Capital, where she was involved in large commercial real estate transactions. Prior to Max Capital, she worked at NRK, where she established herself as a key contributor to that organization.
Mrs. Koutsikas is survived by her two daughters: Stacy Dimitriou and her partner, Steve Hadad and Christina DiPalermo as well as her grandson, Andrew (the light of her life), his wife Tracey, and her great grandson, Theo Paul. She is also survived by her brother Chris Jimroglou, his wife Katherine and their children her niece Krissi (Bennett) and nephew Nick (Anjelica) as well as her Godchildren; Christina Johnson, Nicole Taccetta and Jessica Contino.
The Rite of Burial will take place on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Assumption Greek Orthodox Church; 30 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury. Interment will follow in Saint Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery; Brewster, NY. Family and friends will be received at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church after 10:30 AM on Thursday morning.
