Susan Claire (Friend) Maloney

Susan Claire (Friend) Maloney, 66, of Ridgefield, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 17, 2021.

Susan was born on December 28, 1954 in Yonkers, New York; a daughter of the late Grace (Tully) and Sidney Friend Jr. Susan graduated from Hastings High School in New York and had cherished memories with her many life-long friends from Hastings and Dobbs Ferry. She married the love of her life Patrick Maloney in 1984.

A Ridgefield resident for the past 25 years, Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was known to be extremely loving and caring, always knowing how to make those who she cared about feel special. She was a true character with a sharp wit, constantly ready with a funny comment. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Ryan Warne and her husband, Kyle as well as a grandson, Tyler Warne. She is also survived by her nephew, Rick Friend Jr. and her niece, Heather Friend Richardson.

In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her brother and best friend, Rick Friend Sr. and her beloved husband, Patrick P. Maloney.

Friends will be received on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from Noon to 1:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Tributes in honor of Susan will be offered at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours. Interment will take place privately.
