Sarah Elizabeth (Frank) Ebermayer, 51, of Redding, died peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2024. She was the loving wife of Christian Ebermayer.
Sarah was born on October 18, 1972 in Saginaw, Michigan; a daughter of the late Harold and Marie (Knapp) Frank. Sarah grew up in Indian River, Michigan where she attended Inland Lakes High School. Sarah was an excellent student, a member of the Inland Lakes band, and talented athlete in both basketball and volleyball. After high school, Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan followed by a Masters degree from Boston University.
A resident of Redding since 2017, Sarah was a Technology Director for General Mills. Sarah previously resided in Chicago, Germany and Colorado before relocating to Redding. She enjoyed big dogs, hiking and travelling. Her many trips included Alaska, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru and trips to the mountains in Europe and the Western United States. To find balance and relaxation she also enjoyed yoga and wellness events with a close group of friends.
Sarah is survived by her husband of 17 years, Christian as well as her sister, Jan Lathum and her husband, Larry; her brother, Thomas Frank; her nephew, Eric Frank; her niece, Sarah Lathum and her partner, Bob Gerety as well as her mother in law and father in law, Hildegard and Jakob Ebermayer.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. At 3:00 PM we will hold a short service in honor of Sarah.
