Salvatore Joseph Mannuccia died peacefully surrounded by loved ones and his wife, Janet, of 54 years of marriage. Sal dedicated his life to Janet and created so much happiness for her throughout their lives together.
He was a beloved teacher of physics and chemistry for 31 years. Sal loved his students and mentoring young people. Being an avid sailor who traveled the world, he enjoyed immersing himself in the diverse cultures, bringing the best examples of their artistic expression home. Sal was passionate about bare boat sailing with Janet, as well as enjoying the outdoor thrill of downhill skiing and being a motorcycle enthusiast.
A participant at Founders Hall, Sal took pleasure in playing bridge, attending social events, and made many wonderful friendships there. His presence will be missed. The celebration of Sal’s life will happen in the summertime.
