Ronnie Gulla
Emil R. Gulla, 80, of Danbury, died on Monday evening, June 6, 2022, at his residence.
Best known by “Ronnie”, he was born in Danbury on April 4, 1942, to George and Helen (Bakos) Gulla.
He attended local schools and graduated from Danbury High School in the Class of 1960 and later from Amerigo House of Beauty. Ronnie was first employed with Amerigo’s of Bethel and later co-owned the Sunshine Salon on Division St., Danbury.
In later years, Ronnie worked at Panache of Bethel. He retired from hairdressing in 2005.
He is survived by five sisters and one brother, Jeanne Holmes, Emily Gulla, Robert Gulla, Barbara Vidal, Elizabeth Clark, and Susan Zilinek. He is also survived by two nieces and eleven nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by two sisters, Margie Lewis and Mary Cormier, and by two brothers, Edward Gulla and David Gulla.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 11 a.m. in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury with the Rev. Pat Kris of the First Congregational Church of Danbury officiating.
Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury
The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 9:45 am to 10:45 am.
