Roberta B. Payne

Roberta B. Payne, 72, of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025. She was the loving wife of Bob Payne. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on September 30, 1975.

Mrs. Payne was born on June 12, 1953, in Crestline, Ohio; a daughter of the late Edward and Relda Rose (Ogi) Brandt. 

A longtime resident of Ridgefield, Mrs. Payne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed poetry, ballet and art history. 

Mrs. Payne is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bob as well as their children: Christopher Payne, Jonathan Payne and Summer Shore and her husband, Tim. Mrs. Payne is also survived by her grandchildren: Nathan Payne, Jackson Shore and Chase Shore as well as her daughter in law, Alicia Payne. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Payne was predeceased by a son, Chase Payne.  

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; 241 Danbury Road, Wilton. Interment will be held privately.
