Rebecca B. "Suzy" Capone

Rebecca B. Capone, “Suzy”, 77, of Sudbury, MA and Ridgefield, CT, died peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was the loving wife of Roland Capone and beloved mother of Kevin Capone.

Suzy was born in Winchester, VA on September 20, 1946; a daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred (Bowden) Blankenship. She graduated from Mary Washington College in 1968 with a BA in English and later received an MA in Psychology.

She worked for many years in the Natick Public School system as a School Psychologist.  Later, she joined her husband, founding their insurance business, WIC Insurance, where she was instrumental in identifying acquisition targets.

In her spare time, she enjoyed tennis and golf and was a member of Waccabuc Country Club.

Mrs. Capone is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roland, their son, Kevin, and his wife, Patricia. She is also survived by her grandson, Christopher, her sister, Phyllis Louis-Dreyfus, and her nieces, Phoebe Louis-Dreyfus and Julia Louis-Dreyfus Hall.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 22nd between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 23rd at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church; 353 Main Street, Ridgefield at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Mount Kisco, NY.
