Raymond J. Lubus

Raymond J. Lubus, 89, of Bridgewater, CT, formerly of Danbury, CT, died on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Danbury Hospital.

Mr. Lubus was born in Danbury on July 28, 1934, a son of the late Charles M. and Catherine (Betar) Lubus.

He attended Danbury schools, graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1952 and attended Western CT State College.

A U.S. Army peacetime veteran, Mr. Lubus served from 1955 to 1957 and attaining the rank of Corporal.

An area real estate broker and commercial mortgage lender, he was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and of the Lebanon American Club, both of Danbury.

He is survived by his children, Sally Arconti, Raymond C. Lubus, Sandra Simonelli and Mark Lubus. A brother Hickey Jack Lubus, four grandchildren, Michael and James Simonelli and Mary and Raymond Lubus, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lubus was predeceased by nine siblings:  Edward, Morris, Charles, Robert, George and Wilson Lubus, Viola Harriett Dorr, Gala Elizabeth Estefan, and Victoria Peggy Evans.

Graveside funeral services and interment will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.in Section 20 of St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury with the Rev. David Riley officiating
