Phyllis Anne (Rockovitz) Perron, 85 of Ridgefield, CT died peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Filosa Nursing Home, Danbury, CT. She was the loving wife of the late William Joseph Perron Jr. Mrs. Perron was born in Allentown, PA on November 6, 1940, a daughter of the late William and Anne (Potez) Rockovitz. Mrs. Perron attended Central Catholic High School in Allentown, PA and then Marywood University in Scranton, PA where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with the class of 1962. After college she moved to Corning, NY to work at the Corning Corporation where she met her future husband William J. Perron Jr. Prior to moving to Ridgefield, CT in 1972 they lived in Syracuse, NY and South Plainfield, NJ.
A longtime resident of Ridgefield, Mrs. Perron was a retired Bank Teller having worked many years for Wells Fargo. She was an active parishioner of Saint Elizabeth Seton Church volunteering many Sundays to count the collections with her husband. She was a member of Pleasant View Recreation Association where she frequently swam laps during summer months. Her other interests included needle work, knitting, gardening, cross-country skiing, walks and reading.
Mrs. Perron is survived by her son, Michael Perron of Newtown, CT; daughter in-law, Colleen Kelly Perron of Vermont; nephews, Paul, Mark and Don La Jeunesse of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Perron was predeceased by a son, William Christopher Perron; sister, Elaine Rockovitz; sister in-law, Anne La Jeunesse and her husband Gerard; and niece Gail La Jeunesse.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield, CT. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Seton Church; 520 Ridgebury Road, Ridgefield, CT.
