Phuong Minh Dam, 79, of Danbury, died on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Phuong is survived by her husband Minh Do; Children Diana O'Connor, Toan Dam, and Jia Dam; Grandchildren Emma and Skylar; son-in-law and daughters-in-law. Phuong is also survived by her five sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Phuong spent the first part of her life in Vietnam. In 1989, she immigrated to the US with her family. Phuong worked at Danbury Hospital for more than 20 years where she was a loyal, hardworking employee until her retirement.
She enjoyed grocery shopping, cooking, and learning new recipes. She even invented recipes of her own. She spread her love to everyone in the food she created. Phuong also enjoyed exercising, weekly trips to the senior center, and spending time with her friends and family.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home; 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury. A brief prayer service will be offered at the conclusion of the visitation; interment and a graveside service will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
