Philip G. Hanna Jr.

Philip G. Hanna Jr. 86, of Danbury, husband of Candice (Renner) Hanna, died on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Danbury Hospital.

Philip was born in Danbury on February 24, 1940 to Anna (Marek) and Philip G. Hanna Sr. He attended local schools and was a self-employed carpenter by trade.

He was a U.S. Naval veteran and a member of the Joseph W. Tarrant Jr. Memorial Post 100 American Legion of Bethel, CT.

In addition to his wife Candice, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey Hanna, a daughter Amy Moore and her husband Mark, his two grandchildren, Christopher and Madeline Moore, a stepson Jeremy Petro and his wife Becky and by several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to his parents, Philip was predeceased by his sister Marlene Jehu.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this year.
