Peter C. McEwan Sr.

Peter Christopher McEwan Sr., 69, of Danbury, CT, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. He was born on August 22, 1956 in Manhattan, NY. Peter was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose family was the center of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Ann (Alves) McEwan; his father, Terrence Miner; his children, Ashley (Vincent III) O’Brien, Peter McEwan Jr. (Natalina) and Brandon (Courtney) McEwan; and six grandchildren, Sylvie, Vincent IV, and Louisa O’Brien, Rory and Reid McEwan, and Meadow McEwan.

He was the President of TJ & Son Construction, Inc., a company founded by his father in 1972. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he was deeply committed to his community and faith, proudly serving as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Operation Exodus USA.

He joins his mother, Jane and older brother, Michael in Heaven. He will be remembered as a kind, hardworking, and generous man whose legacy lives on in the family he adored.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home; 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Brookfield First Church; 133 Junction Road, Brookfield. Interment will follow in Saint Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury.
