Paul G. Drumm, 72, of Danbury, brother of Fred, Robert, and Nancy, died on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Yale-New Haven Hospital.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield.

Interment will be private and at the direction of the family.

There will be no calling hours.

Friends are asked to go directly to the church at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.

OBITUARY

Paul G. Drumm, 72, of Danbury, died on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

A lifelong Danbury resident, Paul was born in Danbury on June 5, 1950, a son of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Leach) Drumm.  He attended St. Joseph Parochial School, graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1968, and graduated from Waterbury State Technical School.

He was a member of the facilities staff at Boehringer Ingelheim retiring in 2018 after 25 years of service.

A member of the Southern New York Racing Association (SNYRA), Paul was the crew chief of the Drumm Brothers 45 Stock Car Racing Team. A seasoned London traveler, Paul visited a total of thirteen times across The Pond to vacation, especially Pub walks, with his brother and friends. Paul played a fine croquet game with friends on his American croquet lawn at home He also enjoyed the art of brewing and produced his own beer. Paul was the most thoughtful and caring person one could hope to meet. He always considered what others would want and saw to it that they got it. He loved having friends and family over to watch UConn women's or men's hoops and Yankee or NY Giants games while providing his fine selections of beers. Paul is survived by two brothers, Fred Drumm, and Robert Drumm (Maureen), by a sister Nancy Drumm and three nieces,Kari DiPietro (Jay), Katie Drumm (Jeff Morrell), and Molly Drumm, three grandnephews TJ Brugman and Owen Brugman, Cameron Morrell and one grandniece Nora Brugman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield,

Friends are asked to meet directly at the church at 10:45 a.m.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the kind nursing staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital for the excellent care and concern they displayed for Paul and his family.
