Patricia Samaha Schulze

Patricia (Samaha) Schulze, 76, of Danbury, a retired Danbury High School secretary, died on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Danbury Hospital shortly after her admission.

Mrs. Schulze was born in Danbury on January 8, 1947, a daughter of the late James and Jessica (Preston) Samaha.  She attended Danbury schools and graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1964 and Western CT State University.

A retired secretary of the Danbury School system, Mrs. Schulze was a secretary at the former Roberts Ave. School and later Danbury High School.  She retired after thirty-five years of service.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish of Danbury, a member of the New American Dream Foundation, and instrumental in arranging monthly breakfast meetings with the retired secretaries of the Danbury School system.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly McDermott and her husband Richard, two sisters Jimmetta Samaha and her husband Joseph Walkovich and Pamela Samaha and her husband Eric Gustavson, a daughter in law Stephanie Schulze, three grandchildren Ryan and Jessica McDermott and Billy Schulze Jr., two nephews James, and Nicholas Gustavson and many cousins and friends.

She is also survived by her former husband William Schulze.

Patty also leaves behind her companion and sidekick canine Bella.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schulze was predeceased by a son William “Billy” Schulze, and by a sister Judith A. Samaha.

Pat was an amazing woman who loved family, friends, school staff, and students.  She was an example of all that is good and right.  Pat will be missed not only by her loving family but also by the many lives she touched.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 46 Stone St, Danbury.

The interment will be private.

There will be no calling hours.
