Patrice “Pat” Nadeau (b. 1944), of Danbury, CT, cherished husband to Jeanne, passed away at home on Sunday morning, March 30, 2025. Beloved father to Eric (Jorge Villegas), Sarah Pineault (David) and Kevin (Erica) Nadeau; grandfather to Brandon and Mia Pineault, Olivia and Shawn Nadeau.
Born and raised on a farm in St. Honore, Quebec, Canada, he was the 8th of ten children, and is survived by five of his siblings. Even though he lived in the US, he never lost his connection to his homeland, and the deep ties to his family still living there. He had a multitude of businesses there over the years; some of which he turned around from failing. Even now, these companies continue to prosper with the same core values he instilled.
Patrice began his residential roofing business, Pana Incorporated, in 1970, in Norwalk, CT, then moved his family to Danbury in 1973. His surviving three children continue to work in this same business as well. He was a self-made man, with a laser-focused business acumen and was a mentor to so many over the years.
Patrice was a connoisseur of great wine and great food, often regaling friends and family at various holidays and events. Friends knew they could find him with his wife on any given Saturday night in their favorite restaurant at “their” table in the corner. He will be missed by many establishments around town. Patrice’s biggest source of pride was his family and his extended circle of friends. He always made time for them and could always brighten the room with his smile and bright blue eyes. He was also an avid golfer, who could often be seen at various courses throughout the area. An outdoorsman and traveler; his explorations brought him around the globe extensively, visiting every continent except Antarctica, which would have undoubtedly been a bucket list item. His trips around the world were shared with his wife and their beloved group of friends.
Patrice was a long-time member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. While he was a generous philanthropist to countless organizations, he volunteered with this particular Fraternity for decades, since his arrival in Danbury. His devotion to this great cause is evident in his having reached great heights within the Fraternity and having held various positions at the State and Regional levels.
The family will receive friends at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury, on Friday, April 11, between the hours of 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 12, at 10:30 AM, at St. Peter’s Church, Main Street, Danbury.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to St Peter’s Church, 104 Main Street, Danbury, CT, 06810 or Moose Charities, Inc, 155 S. International Drive, Mooseheart, IL 60539-1100.
