Pamela Ann Miller-Evanuska
Pamela Ann Miller-Evanuska, 75, of Danbury, wife of the late David J. Blaszka-Evanuska Sr, died on Friday October 6, 2023, at Danbury Hospital.
Affectionately know as Pammy, she was born on January 8, 1948, the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen (Zieger) Miller.
She attended Danbury Schools.
Employed with the City of Danbury for forty-seven years, Mrs. Evanuska served as a Danbury Police Officer and most notably as the late former Mayor James E Dyer's bodyguard. She worked in several different departments at City Hall from switchboard operator to Assistant Town Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics until her retirement.
She was also a life long member of the Germantown Fire Department Ladies auxiliary.
Pam was well known for her extraordinary skill in quilting, sewing, crafting and Baking.
Surviving are two sons, David J. Evanuska Jr. and his wife Susan and Douglas J. Evanuska and his wife Heather, a daughter Dawn L. Cooney, four grandchildren Justin, Mikayla, Matthew, Jacob, and one great-Grandson Carter.
She is also survived by a loving brother Roy Miller in addition to three brothers and two sisters as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Pam was predeceased by her late son in law Sgt. David J. Cooney and two brothers Philip Miller and Thomas Miller, also her best friend and cousin Kandy Sheldone.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be private.
