Born in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 23, 1990, Michael was the beloved son of Kimberly Godbout and Jeffrey Gallagher. From the very beginning, Michael was known for his bright smile, sensitive nature, and loving heart.
He grew up in Bethel, Connecticut, where he enjoyed fishing, karate, wrestling, video games, and collecting Pokémon cards. In his early teens, he moved with his family to the Adirondacks in Upstate New York. There, he worked at his mother’s restaurant, where he discovered his passion for hospitality and food, and attended Schroon Lake Central School, building friendships and becoming part of the community. He later studied massage therapy at North Country Community College in Saranac Lake.
As an adult, Michael returned to Connecticut—the place he loved most. He began working at Board Silly Sawmill in Ridgefield, where he developed a deep appreciation for woodworking. In his free time he enjoyed riding his one-wheel, bowling, fishing, festivals, concerts, Pokémon Go and raves, with his family and friends.
Michael traveled abroad on the West Coast with the Union for fire sprinkler where he also got the opportunity to explore many national parks —fueling his adventurous spirit. Most recently, he was employed as a maintenance associate at Village Crest Nursing Home in New Milford and Keystone Senior Living in Danbury. In both roles, he cared deeply for the elderly residents, creating meaningful bonds and leaving a lasting impact.
