Michael Francis Doyle

Michael Francis Doyle (who most knew as Mike) of South Salem, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Ridgefield, CT. He was the beloved husband of Irene K. Doyle.

Born in Molly, County Longford, Ireland, Mike was one of ten children of John and Brigid (nee Reehil) Doyle. He emigrated from Ireland to the United States in 1951 and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mike met the love of his life, Irene, in 1962, and they were happily married in 1963. A proud husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Mike was a guiding force for his children, always leading by example and offering steady support.

He enjoyed a distinguished career with IBM. Throughout his 24+ year tenure, Mike coached and supported his security team and other colleagues who valued his wisdom and guidance, before becoming the building administrator for facility services. His leadership and dedication earned him respect across the company.

A devoted family man, Mike is survived by his wife Irene; his children, Lynda Doyle (Jay Haviland), Michael Doyle (Gail Hughes), Daphne Doyle; grandchildren Aimee Ruiz and Kelvin Michael Doyle; and great grandson Leandro Ruiz. He will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family in the US and Ireland, the South Salem Seniors Group and many friends whose lives he touched.

Mike’s kindness, resilience, and humor made a lasting impact on his family and community. His legacy of service, dedication, and love will be remembered always.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Ridgefield Station and RVNA Hospice for their warmth and devoted care.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary's Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will take place privately; there will be no calling hours. Kane Funeral Home, Ridgefield is in care of arrangements.
