Max Fehring Obituary

Maximilian Thomas Fehring, “Max”, 17, passed away on Saturday July 25, 2026, and was received into the loving arms of Our Blessed Mother, Mary, and the eternal peace of Christ. Max was the loving son of Nicolas and Farah (Singh) Fehring and beloved brother of Zoe and Olivia Fehring.

Max was born in Mount Kisco, NY on February 20, 2009. He spent his first few years in Peekskill, NY before moving with his family to Singapore.

A resident of Ridgefield since 2015, Max attended Saint Mary School and Immaculate High School where he was entering his Senior year as a member of the class of 2027. Max was Captain of the track and cross country teams at Immaculate, played baseball and umpired in the Ridgefield Little League, played basketball for Saint Mary School, and was a member of Saint Mary’s Youth Group.

Over the past year he worked summers and weekends at the CT Running Company where he combined his passion for running, people, and chopping it up.

He was an accomplished honors student and loved all sports – especially his Packers, Bucks, Brewers, and the University of Notre Dame.

Max’s first love was for his two sisters, for whom he was deeply protective and close.

He left us with so much excitement about what was to come: college visits, senior year, leading the XC and track teams, working at the running store, vacations with his sisters, basement poker, bowling, Buffalo Wild Wings, runs with Coach and the boys, buffalo chicken pizza at Planet, ND football games, and all that is good and beautiful from a life ahead. He left us happy in his father’s arms. He left us as Max.

Max is survived by his parents, Nicolas and Farah and his sisters, Zoe and Olivia. He is also survived by his aunts; Alyssa Seedansingh and her husband, Stephen, Beth Tezak and her husband, Jeffrey and Alicia Phillips and her husband, Brad. In addition, Max is survived by his maternal grandparents, Farida and Denis Singh; his paternal grandparents, Suzan and Thomas Fehring as well as his many cousins, classmates, teammates, and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary's Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Max’s memory may be made to The Max Fehring Memorial Scholarship at Immaculate High School.
