Maura Ann Mannion-Edelmann

Maura Ann Mannion-Edelmann, 67, of New Milford, died peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025 while surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late James F. Edelmann and loving mother of Nicole Marie Edelmann.

Maura was born in Danbury, CT on February 11, 1958; a daughter of the late Robert J. Mannion Sr. and Ann (Shanley) Mannion. A graduate of a Regis College, Maura loved learning and was often referred to as “moogle” due to her vast knowledge of many different topics.

A lifelong area resident, Maura most recently worked as a dog groomer, a position she truly enjoyed. She loved spending her time at her friend Deb’s farm, helping out with the horses. Maura loved planning parties and creating beautiful decoration displays whenever she could. 

Maura is survived by her daughter, Nicole Edelmann and her partner, Shane DeJoseph, her sister, Siobhan Rotella and her husband, Albert, as well as her mother, Ann Mannion. She is survived by many loved ones and friends. 

In addition to her husband, James and her father, Bob, Maura was predeceased by her brother, Robert J. Mannion Jr. 

Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary's Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will take place privately.
