Marlene Frances Ridgeway, 88, of The Villages, FL, wife of forty-five years to Ronald Ridgeway Jr., mother of Carol Hichborn, Scott Fine, Peggy Kaufman, Tom Barbarie and Michelle Barbarie, stepmother of Ronald Ridgeway, Katie Ridgeway and the late Edmond Ridgeway. Also survived by several grandchildren and their spouses, and great grandchildren, died on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

OBITUARY
Marlene Frances Ridgeway, 88, of The Villages, FL, wife of Ronald Ridgeway Jr., died surrounded by her loving family on May 11, 2024.
Mrs. Ridgeway was born in Key West, FL on August 29, 1935, a daughter of the late Ivan and Carolyn (Webb) Park.
She attended schools in Key West, graduating from Key West High School and from Henry Abbott Technical School Nursing Program becoming a RN with special emphasis in oncology.
An oncology nurse for many years at Danbury Hospital’s 8E & 9W, many of the patients she cared for and or their families would gift her with a personal possession of the patient or an outright gift to show their sincere appreciation for her special caring, kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism.
After stepping away from oncology nursing, Mrs. Ridgeway joined Corporate Health Care of Danbury prior to retiring and relocating with her husband Ron to the Villages, Florida.
A resident of the Villages for the past sixteen years, Marlene and Ron enjoyed traveling together taking many Windjammer cruises throughout the Virgin Islands and other islands of the Caribbean.
