Mark Andrew Hansen

Mark Andrew Hansen, 54, of Redding, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. 

Mark was born in Norwalk, CT on March 23, 1967, a son of Richard and Elizabeth (Murphy) Hansen.

A life long resident of Redding, Mark was the owner of Hansen Tree Care and he served the town of Redding and surrounding area for more than 28 years. Mark attended Dean Junior College (1987) where he was an All American wide receiver. In 1998, he welcomed his daughter, Hayley, and in 2002, his son, Tanner. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf and watching the New York Mets, Giants and Rangers. Mark was family oriented, and loved spending time with his children and grandson. 

Mark is survived by his 2 children, Hayley Hansen and Tanner Hansen, as well as his grandson, Parker. Mark is also survived by his mother, Betty Sabella, his siblings; Karen Hansen, Christopher Hansen and his wife, Josephine, Karen Beres and her husband, Joe, Michael Sabella and Scott Sabella.

Mark was predeceased by his father, Richard Hansen, his step father, Daniel Sabella and his step brother, Kris Sabella.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church; 30 Church Street, Georgetown. Interment will take place privately.
