Marietta (Scalzo) Notaro, wife of Natale “Chris” Notaro, died on Thursday morning, March 6,2025, at her home.
Mrs. Notaro was born in Green River, Utah, January 10, 1924, a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Giuseppe (Marasco) Scalzo. She resided in Utah until the age of 6 when the family emigrated to Italy. She resided San Bernardo, Decollatura, Italy until relocated to Danbury in 1954 and has resided ever since.
She was a retired seamstress and a member of St. Peter Church of Danbury.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Josephine Scalzo and Angeline Notaro, both of Danbury and by two sons, Victor Notaro of Cohasset, MA and Anthony Notaro of Naugatuck, CT as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Notaro was predeceased by three sisters, Phyllis Notaro, Rosina Morello and Angelina DeFazio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 121 Main St., Danbury with the Rev. Gregg D. Mecca, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
There will be no calling hours.
