Maria Do Carmo Silva Ramos

Maria Do Carmo Silva Ramos, 64, of Danbury, died peacefully while surrounded by her family on Friday, November 7, 2025.

Maria was born in Portugal on March 16, 1961; a daughter of Maria Amelia Saraiva Ribeiro and Jose Dos Reis Silva. 

A longtime Danbury resident, Maria was a retired environmental services staff associate at Danbury Hospital. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and visiting Portugal. 

Maria is survived by her husband, Ailton Silva; her daughters, Melissa Lyons and her husband, Robert, Kelly Neumann and her husband, Kyle and Savana Kaback and her husband, Justin. Maria is also survived by her three grandchildren; Bobby, Stella and Madison; her mother, Maria Ribeiro; her siblings Maria Fernanda Silva Almeida and Antonio Eduardo Silva and her former spouse, Antonio Antunes Ramos. 

Maria was predeceased by her father, Jose Silva. 

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home; 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church; 149 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
