Marcia (Najam) Filimon

Marcia A. (Najam) Filimon, 81, of Bethel, wife of the late Robert A. Filimon, Sr., passed away peacefully and entered the house of our Lord on the morning of Monday, October 3, 2022.

Mrs. Filimon was born in Danbury on May 14, 1941, the daughter of the late Peter Najam and Jennie M. (Nassif) McGinniss.

Marcia attended St. Peter School, Danbury High School, and the Americo Academy of Beauty Culture.

She was a retired cosmetology instructor and a member of St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church of Danbury.

She is survived by her daughter Gina (Dale) Gustafson, a son Robert A. (Marsha) Filimon Jr., a brother Dr. Kevin T. McGinniss, an uncle William Najam, an aunt MaryLou (Najam) Jenkins, five grandchildren, a niece and nephew, several cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Filimon was predeceased by a son, Dr. Chad A. Filimon.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church.  

Interment will take place in St. Peter Cemetery at the direction of the family.

There will be no calling hours.
