Mabel M. Porter, 96, of Danbury, wife of the late Leonard Porter, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at her home.
Mrs. Porter was born in Bethel on September 21, 1926, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mabel (Bacon) Richardson. She attended local schools and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed crocheting as a pastime hobby and was an area resident for all of her life.
Mrs. Porter is survived by four daughters, Peachie Wilcox and her husband Warren, Deborah Patton, Robin Iovino-Prunty, and Kimberly St. Jean and her husband Gregg, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, siblings, and husband, Mrs. Porter was predeceased by two sons-in-law, David Patton and Peter Dallicker.
Funeral services will take place on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 2 P.M. in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury.
Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 noon to 2 P.M.
