Lynn A. (Farrell) Jabara, 67, of Danbury, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. She was the loving wife of Peter Jabara, to whom she was married for 44 years.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on September 3, 1954; she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Tighe) and Michael Farrell. She looked back on her childhood in Brooklyn with fond memories as well as her summers in Budd Lake, NJ with her many siblings. Lynn married Peter in 1978, and a few years later moved to Avon, CT, to raise their sons. A Danbury resident since 2003, Lynn was a well-loved member of the community where she and her husband ran the First & Last Cafe for nearly 20 years.
Lynn enjoyed traveling, fitness, shopping and spending time with family, friends and, most of all, her grandchildren. She was a member of the Brookfield Greenknoll YMCA and His Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Bethel. In recent years Lynn traveled to Canada, Ireland and Lebanon and was always excited for her next adventure.
In addition to her husband, Lynn is survived by her two sons Michael (Kathy) and Christopher (Angela); four grandchildren Clare, William, Colin and Juliet; her brother, Daniel Farrell (Maureen); and sisters Margaret Latesta (Joseph), Ellen Abbruzzese (William) and Jeanne Farrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Michael and Matthew Farrell.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home; 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury, CT. A Celebration of Lynn's Life will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM at His Vineyard Christian Fellowship; 2 Vail Road, Bethel, CT. A reception will follow the Celebration of Life Service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will take place privately in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
