Ly Tek Noun, 69, of Danbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Samol Noun, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on October 5, 1955, in Cambodia, Ly embodied strength and resilience. During the Khmer Rouge regime, she courageously brought her family to the United States in pursuit of a brighter and safer future. Her unwavering dedication and love provided a foundation for her family's success and happiness.
A longtime resident of Danbury, Ly cherished her time with family, especially her grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking, often bringing loved ones together over meals.
Ly is survived by her devoted husband, Samol; her sister, Chanthoeun Tek, and brother-in-law, David You; her two children, Lani Spratt and her husband, Eugene Spratt III, and Sina Noun and his wife, Srey Lin. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Eugene IV and Daniella Neva Spratt, as well as Devin, Sophia, Tiana, and Aliya Noun.
Ly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home; 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon beginning at 1:00 PM. Cremation and interment will take place privately.
