Lucille M. Share, longtime resident of Danbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born in Yonkers, NY, on February 12, 1936, the daughter of Joseph and Angelina (Zito) Kennedy.
Lucille attended schools in New York and moved to Danbury in 1956, where she remained a resident for 69 years. She worked as a secretary for the Danbury Superior Court until her retirement.
A devoted wife, cherished mother, doting grandmother, and friend to many, Lucille dedicated her life to nurturing her family and community with unwavering compassion and generosity. She was a beacon of love, and her home was always filled with the comforting aroma of her cooking and the warmth of her kindness. Deeply devoted to her faith, she was a longtime member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Danbury.
Lucille was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward Share, in 2021. They were high-school sweethearts and married for 67 years at the time of his death. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Lewis and Laura (Ronald) Switzer; and her grandchildren, Gregory Switzer and Lauren (Jeffrey) Cargill. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Robert Lewis, and her brothers, Benjamin and Joseph Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held on November 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810. Burial will follow at the convenience of the family in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
