Lucille Peatt Obituary

Lucille A. Peatt, 92, of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late William T. Peatt, Jr.

Mrs. Peatt was born in Stamford, CT on April 2, 1930; a daughter of the late Victor and Anna (Karlanovich) Pribanic.

A longtime resident of Ridgefield, Mrs. Peatt was active as a property manager with her husband, along with being involved in local commercial and residential real estate. She enjoyed years of living on Mamanasco Lake in Ridgefield, where she raised her 3 sons.

Lucille and her husband took over the operation of Peatt's Beach and Snack Bar on Mamanasco Lake, which they successfully ran for many year. The store was a very popular spot. Most old-time Ridgefielders will remember it.

In her spare time, she was an avid doll collector, Barbie dolls being her favorite and also collector of miniature tea sets. Lucille and her husband spent their winters in Fort Lauderdale and in later years Jupiter, Florida. While in Jupiter, she was a devoted fan of the Marlins Baseball Team where she rarely missed a practice or game. She was so well known at the stadium, that she was able to obtain autographed baseball cards from each player, each and every year. In fact, so well known at the stadium that she was one of the few fans permitted to approach spectator and fan, President George Bush Senior to autograph her baseball.

Mrs. Peatt is survived by her three sons: William (Ted) Peatt III and his fiancé, Colette Ragan; Woodrow (Woody) Peatt and his wife, Janet; and Wayne Peatt. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Suzanne Melillo, Kristina Olszewski, Woody Peatt Jr., and William (Ted) Peatt IV; three great grandchildren: Luke, Samantha and Olivia as well as a brother, Doug Pribanic and his wife, Cheryl.

A graveside service and interment will take place on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Saint Mary's Cemetery; 110 North Street, Ridgefield. There will be no calling hours. Kane Funeral Home, Ridgefield is in care of arrangements.
