Louise P. McMahon, 78, of Danbury, wife of Donald P. McMahon, died on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Danbury Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. McMahon was born in Mt. Kisco, NY, April 7, 1947, the daughter of Eugene “John” and Gaetana “Tina” (D’Allura) Botterio and raised in Pleasantville, NY. She attended Pleasantville schools and resided in Pleasantville until 1977 when she relocated to Danbury.
Active in the Danbury community, Mrs. McMahon was employed by the Danbury Board of Education as a hall monitor at Danbury High School and the Danbury Parking Authority. She has been a Constable for the City of Danbury for eighteen years, former Member of the City Council serving the First Ward for six years, a former member of the Fair Rent Commission for twenty years, a member of the Republican Town Committee and former secretary of the Danbury Republican Town Committee. She was a former Justice of the Peace, a member of the Council of Catholic Woman for St. Joseph Church-Danbury and a member of St. Gregory the Great Church of Danbury.
In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by a son Peter McMahon, his wife Ada and their son Connor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Rd., Danbury.
Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery, Pleasantville, NY.
There will be no calling hours.
