Louise Marcus (née Rasmussen), age 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 13, 2025, in Danbury, Connecticut, after a long illness.

Louise lived a long and full life devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose presence brought warmth and strength to those around her.

She is survived by her children: daughters Lynn Marcus and Jane Stulb, and son Robert Marcus. Her extended family includes son-in-law Tom Fluskey and daughter-in-law Karen Marcus. Louise’s legacy continues through her many grandchildren: Joseph Magazzi, Terry Magazzi, Angelo Liberatore, Joshua Marcus, Quentin Marcus, Tessa Marcus, Katherine Rose Martins (Carlos), Christi McLoughlin (Anthony); great-grandchildren: Danielle Demato, Marcus Magazzi, Ashley Shaffer (Steven), Brianna McLoughlin, Simon Martins and Cody Martins; great-great-grandson Blake Scollin. She is also survived by her sister Helen Boscamp and her many nieces and nephews.

Louise had a zest for life that remained with her throughout the years.A devoted sports fan, she loved cheering on the New York Mets and watching the UConn women’s basketball team. Her enthusiasm extended beyond the sidelines—she completed multiple 5K road races over the years, a testament to her spirited determination and vitality.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louise’s memory to Regional Hospice in Danbury, Connecticut or DAWS (Danbury Animal Welfare Society) in Bethel, Connecticut—two causes close to the hearts of those who knew her.

May Louise’s memory bring comfort to all who loved her and serve as an enduring reminder of a life well lived. A Wake will be held on September 17, 2025, from 04:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Jowdy Kane Funeral Home 9-11 Granville Avenue. The funeral service will be private
