Louis L. DaPra, 92, of Southbury, longtime resident of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Louise DaPra. Mr. DaPra was born in Greenwich, CT on October 7, 1928; a son of the late John and Mary DaPra. He was the first born of his family in the USA as his parents had emigrated from Italy after WWI.
Mr. DaPra served in the 192nd Field Artillery of the National Guard, the unit being activated during the Korean War. He was a longtime Automobile Mechanic and then custodian in the Greenwich school system.
Mr. DaPra is survived by his children: Diane and her husband, Mark; Karen and her husband, Tom and Robert and his wife, Susan. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Kitty and Marie and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Louise, Mr. DaPra was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela.
Due to the COVID 19 restrictions affecting all of us at this time, funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV.org), PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
