Linda Diane Ventimiglia

Linda Diane Ventimiglia, 77, of South Salem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Linda was the loving wife of Lester Joseph Ventimiglia.

Linda was born on March 29, 1948 in Queens, NY; daughter of the late Douglas and Adeline Rasmuson, and raised in Rocky Point, NY where she attended grade school and graduated from Port Jefferson High School.  Linda went on to earn her Nursing Degree from Lenox Hill School of Nursing in New York City, where she also started her career as a Pre-Natal ICU Nurse.

After retiring to start a family, in her spare time she was a librarian at South Salem Library and also enjoyed painting, gardening and entertaining her family and friends. She also never hesitated to escape on vacation to visit her families in England and Italy.  Being raised on Long Island she had a love for the beach, so no surprise Bermuda and Hawaii were among her favorite vacation spots. She simply loved Life and People.

Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lester “Les” Ventimiglia, as well as their daughter, Chelsea Diane Ventimiglia.  In addition, Linda is survived by her brothers Scott Rasmuson and his wife, Lori; Bruce Rasmuson and his wife, Peggy; and her brother-in-law, Ed Ventimiglia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 10:30 AM, in St. Mary’s Church; 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield, CT.  Interment will follow in South Salem Cemetery; 85 Spring Street, South Salem, NY.
