Letizia Yacono

Letizia Yacono, 99, of the Cascades at Bethel, died peacefully on January 7, 2026 at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Canneto, Italy on June 6, 1926, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Caterina LoGreco.

She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas G. Yacono, to whom she was married for sixty-eight years. She is survived by her children, Gary T. Yacono, MD (Michele) of New Fairfield, CT, Angela R. White (Alan) of Teaneck, NJ, and Lisa C. Hughes (Robert Storace) of Southbury, CT; her grandchildren, Erika and Andrew White, Matthew and Catherine Hughes, and Danielle, Jessica and Michael Yacono; her step-grandchild, Mary Storace; and her five great-grandchildren.

Letizia lived a life of unconditional love and devotion to her family. She brought joy to all that had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the charity of one's choosing.
