February 22, 1976 - October 26, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Keri A. Arokium, who died peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was 49 years old.
Born under the warm sun of Guyana on February 22, 1976, Keri was the beloved daughter of Lorna Arokium Prince. From her earliest days, she carried within her the vibrant spirit of her homeland and the deep love of her family.
Keri dedicated her career to serving the people of Connecticut as a Planning Analyst within the Department of Aging and Disability Services for the State, where she brought her analytical mind and compassionate heart to her work, making meaningful contributions to her community. Beyond her professional life, she found fellowship and purpose as an active member of the Lions Club of Danbury and the Fatima Rosary Group, where her commitment to service and faith touched many lives.
Keri was predeceased by her twin brother Barrington, whose memory she carried tenderly throughout her life. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever: her mother Lorna, her step-father Daniel Prince, and her son Kermar, who was the light of her life. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as countless close friends and colleagues who were blessed by her warmth, kindness, and unwavering friendship.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Avenue, Danbury, Connecticut. Funeral services and burial will take place in Port Mourant, Guyana, where Keri will return home to rest in the land she loved.
Though her time with us was far too brief, Keri’s legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
