Judith (Rhode) Ryan

Judith (Rhode) Ryan, 83, of Danbury, wife of Delaney Ryan, died on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at her home.  

Mrs. Ryan was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 10, 1941, the daughter of the late John Rhode and the late Lillian (Borgen) Kingsley. An area resident since the age of 5, she attended local schools and graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1959.

Mrs. Ryan had operated the former Danbury Building & Lumber Company located on Crosby Street, Danbury.

In addition to her husband "Del", she is survived by a brother John Rhode, six grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ryan was predeceased by her first husband Harold J. Hibbard.

Funeral services will take place on Friday morning, October 10, 2025 at 11 AM in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury.

Burial will folllow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

Friends will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 4PM to 7PM.
