Joseph L. Zacarolli

Joseph L. Zacarolli, 90, of Danbury, husband of the late Phyllis (Laise) Zacarolli, died on Monday, September 12, 2022. Mr. Zacarolli was born in Hillsdale, NY, on February 21, 1932. He attended NY schools and was a resident of Danbury for the past 55 years coming from Westchester County, NY.

A retired construction worker with Laborers Union Local #60 of Hawthorne, NY, Mr. Zacarolli was previously employed with Columbia Magnetics of Danbury.

Mr. and Mrs. Zacarolli were foster parents for many years and parented over 50 children.

A U.S. Army veteran, he served from 1955 to 1956. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Parish of Danbury.

Mr. Zacarolli is survived by his children, Joseph Zacarolli Jr., Karen Khoury, Terry Zacarolli, Michelle Fields, Angie Zacarolli, and Damon Hines, and by his grandchildren, Anthony Zacarolli, Zachary Khoury, Marisa Zacarolli, Gabriella Khoury, Victoria Zacarolli, Joseph Zacarolli, and Rachel Zacarolli.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Zacarolli was predeceased by two sons, Thomas Zacarolli and James Zacarolli.

. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
