Joseph A. Arconti, 74, of Brookfield, a dedicated educator, counselor, and clinical director who served the Danbury community for many years with Danbury schools and Danbury Youth Services, died on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Danbury Hospital.
He was the husband of Ilona (Nagy) Arconti.
Mr. Arconti was born in Danbury, September 20, 1951, a son of Maryanne (Zarcone) Arconti of Danbury and the late Aldo Arconti. He attended Danbury schools, graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1969 and graduated from Western Connecticut State University.
Active in sports all of his life, he most especially enjoyed the game of golf. He also enjoyed video games and was an avid reader. His family was the center of his life.
In addition to his wife and mother, Joe is survived by a son Joseph Arconti and his wife Christina, a daughter Erika Arconti-Galassi and her husband Jason, his cherished grandchildren, Giuliana, Cecilia, and Gianluca Arconti and Giavanna Galassi, two brothers, Michael Arconti and Robert Arconti and his wife Carol, and by two sisters Nancy Arconti and Pamela Arconti.
Friend will be received in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 4PM to 7PM.
