Joseph A. Acocella, 69, of Danbury, husband of Maarit K. (Niiranen) Acocella, father of Joseph A.F. Acocella and Michael K. Acocella, son of Rose Ann (Federici) Acocella and the late Charles Acocella, brother of Ronald Acocella, Kenneth Acocella (Michele), Lisa Trupp (Chris), Melissa Acocella, Thomas Acocella and Anthony Acocella. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday evening at 6:30 PM in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Wisecup of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating.
Friends may call at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home. 9 Granville Ave., Danbury on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 4PM to 7PM.
Mr. Acocella was born in Portchester, NY, May 1, 1956. He attended Portchester schools.
A Danbury resident since 1970, he was a truck driver for the former Matz Lumber Co. and now G&G Distributors.
He was an avid bowler and played in the Danbury Men's Softball League and later became a score keeper for the softball league.
Mr. Acocella attended the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Georgetown, CT
In addition to his father predeceasing him, he was also predeceased by a brother Charles Acocella
