John W. Thomas 1954-2024
John W. Thomas, 69, of Danbury, best known as “Uncle John” of the company he owned and operated, “Uncle John’s Asphalt Seal Coat Company of Danbury” died on Saturday evening, April 6, 2024, at Danbury Hospital.
Uncle John was born in Mt. Kisco, NY on November 4, 1954 and was a lifelong Danbury resident where he attended local schools. He has been in the asphalt and sealcoat business for many years. John enjoyed NASCAR, collecting model cars and restoring old classic and antique automobiles.
He is survived by a son, John Michael Thomas, a brother Walter Thomas, 2 sisters, Linda Thomas and Laurie Adams as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews including niece Jamie Adams and nephew Shawn Adams.
The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 2 PM to 4:30 PM. A Prayer Service will commence at 4:30 PM conducted by Rev. Meredith Payton and the Rev. Wanda Payton.
