Janet Ann McLaughlin Reinhardt of Woodbury, CT went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2024 surrounded by those who loved her so. A faithful wife, mother, and grandmother, she served the Lord faithfully until her last breath here on earth. Janet was born to Robert and Jeanne (Pritchard) McLaughlin in Columbus, Ohio on November 19, 1951. She graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.
She married Dr. David Reinhardt, the love of her life, in 1973 and served alongside him faithfully as a pastor’s wife for forty years. A gifted musician, Janet could play almost any instrument and used those talents for the Lord. A talented writer, she authored numerous books and plays. Whatever her hand found to do, she did it well and with all her might. But amidst all her numerous accomplishments, her passion was her Lord and her family. She loved her husband, her four girls, and her grandchildren deeply. An animal lover through and through, she loved her dogs, riding ATVS and dreaming of filling her 70 acre farm in NH with goats, cows and chickens. She never left home without her beautiful red hair curled and her red lipstick on. She was truly one of a kind.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, David; her four devoted daughters, Anna (Chris) Thompson, Sophia Castellanos, Estella (Steve) Reinhardt-Stone, Martha (Matthew) Calciano; and her grandchildren, Steven Stone, Aidan Stone, Dominic Stone, Benjamin Castellanos, Elizabeth Castellanos, Abigail Castellanos, Matthew Calciano, Colin Calciano, and Haven Calciano. She is also survived by her brother Mark McLaughlin. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, John.
